Overview
Evolution of J2EE platform through community process makes it increasingly complex
and feature rich. J2EE Center at Pollux constantly and pro-actively tracks the J2EE
technology to provide effective IT
solutions to our customers.
J2EE Centre of Excellence has been established at Pollux with the objective to:
"Partner with Customer to realize business benefits through effective adoption of
J2EE Technology".
J2EE Center through internal research and collaboration with product vendors delivers
methods, frameworks and tools to help leverage J2EE technology to create effective
business solutions.
A critical aspect of successful business applications is the Quality of Service
they provide. J2EE Center addresses aspects of building high performing, scalable,
extensible and manageable J2EE applications. The J2EE Center has done extensive
research on performance related issues in J2EE applications, resulting in performance
benchmarks of various architectural and design decisions and performance tuning
methodology for J2EE Applications. While performance benchmarks help make informed
decisions during architecture and design, performance tuning methodology supports
a structured approach to solving performance problems of J2EE applications.
Most J2EE web-based enterprise applications are split into three logical tiers,
Presentation Tier, Business Logic Tier, and Enterprise Information System Tier.
Technology research at J2EE Center at pollux is mainly around standards, prescriptive
architectures and reusable application frameworks.
